Windshield / dash problem

As i read in the manual, it looks easy to install the winshield. I have the new rubber, but can't figger out why my dash is in the way,
Can anyone explain me how he installed the windshield?

     68-70 b body's just have a depression at the dash that the gasket sets in. If your looking for sealant you want something like this.

The dash is screwed on a lip of the body, i think i have to use that lip to put the gasket over. so how can you put that dash over that lip again.
Difficult to explain, but what do you see thru the window on the underside, the gasket or the screws for the dash?

  The dash gets screwed onto that lip (I believe you have to put the dash in before the windshield). the inside bottom edge of the gasket has a lip thaat covers the screws.
