HI i'm a car nut from the uk and i have always loves muscle cars though none more than a 69 charger, i have decided to bite the bullet and purchase one .
they are rare in the uk and through looking , i have found that it will be cheaper in the us to purchase one and import it (through my company its tax deductable :))
i have read up on them but one thing i'm findind hard to come across is performance info.
can anyone give me advice on what the differnt blocks output power is ie bhp and tourqe there standard 0-60 times and top speed info
also does anyone have info on the different types of hemi's

i have seen this one and feel in love with it ......  http://cgi.ebay.com/Dodge-Charger-Spl-Ordered-68-383-4-SPEED-1-OF-259-RARE-CONSOLE-FACTORY-AIR_W0QQitemZ4569992052QQcategoryZ6199QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem  can anyone tell me if this will go for around $30k mark and in your opions is it worth that

With thanks Neo

The best thing to do is see if someone from this board lives near the car. See if they will go inspect it for you. I can tell you first hand that it can be risky buying a car off Ebay. It may be a gem. It may not be. Best have someone who knows the cars check it out in person. It may save you big money in the long run.

I think the seller may be a member here. I didn't notice the sellers name the first time I looked. We have a Charger aficianado on this board. I would bet he's the same guy. You might have found a gem after all!

hopefully i have i also having trouble with an importer they seem only to want to take it to liverpool which is over 300miles from where i live which means i would have to drive it up and it would be an enjoyable drive but incase of any problems with the car i will be up a certin creek without a paddle so i'm working on that currently .

that's fifths' car.
Only problem, he doesn't sell to non-Americans.

Finding a 2nd gen under 30K wouldn't be a big problem.
Shipping is an easy task and you'll save  £ £ £ if buying one in the US.

Bought this running  blue 69 with big block, rebuild trans and new wheels/tires for $10.000 (or  £ 5.500)

On the Hemi, with you looking at Charger's there is really only one, 426. There where Hemi's range from I think 256 up to 392 made in the late 50's, but normaly would not be in a Charger unlsee some one did it.

To bad the old site (There was a older verson of the Charger Site) died, we had many member's on your side of the pound.

Why not a Z-28? ;) Need to keep the good car's over here

Yeah, that would be another of Fifth's cars
I'd say he's doing alright on it too at over 17 000
I'd go to 15 000, and that's pushing it!
