Rallye is a package practically exactly to earliers R/T except on performance under the hood and rear springs ( brakes, cluster, sway bars, decals ), labeled on Fender tags and Buildsheet as A57 code

Package was available to Coupes ( WL21 on VIN ) and Hardtops ( WH23 on VIN ), however since money talks, we have known about some rare SEs ( WP29 on VIN ) maybe dealer installed rallye packaged.

Rallye package basically consist on:
-Bulged Hood
-Mid body sides stripes, adding also if buyer wanted, blackout on hood and deck lid stripe
-11" rear drum brakes
-Rallye Cluster.
-Front and rear Sway bars.
-Rallye wheels.

There is more details about that, like default equipment depending of engine, etc... for further info check here:

Thanks Natcho,  I am real close to buying one off this site a 440 #s matching,  but I am just a bit nervouse,  It looks good in the pictures but pictures can be decieving,  the owner seems real straight foreward in the description.  but sight unseen leaves me sitting here with cash in hand wondering about pulling the trigger on the deal?  I need to decide pretty fast as a member in the service department has agreed to pick up for me at a reasonable price on the 16-19 of August.  I wish I could find a good 3rd gen closer to home :'(  I got my 68 from nampa Idaho and she was a good project.

Something to keep in mind... the best way to confirm the car is a Rallye is to look at the build sheet.  The A57 code was not always shown on the fender tag (especially on Lynch Rd. built cars).

Here's another pice for ya:

Thank's guys,  I do like petty blue :icon_smile_big: Does anyone know how many 440/727 console Rallyes were made in 73?  As soon as I get fender tag info I will post it and maybe some of the 3rd gen experts can help me.
