I'm installing a Mopar ignition (orange box) in my '68 Charger. I'd like to know the best location to pull the power from.
I don't have the wiring diagram.

Yellow wire is simply wrong... even gets power on same time from ognition switch, it is really an existant brown wire. If you hook the ballast to the yellow wire, starter motor will never stops because will be feeded by the blue wire allways

Wire arriving to ballast is really brown and is already on engine harness. Also same color arriving to + lead of coil, existant on harness too. Doesn't matter if is electronic or breaker point ignition the brown lines are the same and existant.

You need just hook the blue traced yellow wire on blue wire before ballast ( or on same terminal ), run dist wires and plug up to distribuitor of course and black wire with eyelet terminal up to - lead of coil replacing the small eyelet one black between dist and coil...that's all.

Thanks for the replies and the diagram.
I have 2 ballast resistors on my former stock 318 car. One is mounted high on the fire wall by the wiper motor and the other was mounted on the engine.
Does the resistor that comes with EI kit replace the one on the engine?
Thanks again.

Be careful to keep that igniton box out of heat.  I just pulled mine out the car - good thing i wasnt using it anymore.
I saw green gooy stuff flowing out of it.  I pulled the two screw to find that the entire electircal board held melted this green glue stuff and was pooring down my firewall- eeeks. thanks for mallory cd ignition.
