It looks better than any Macco job I have seen (thats not saying much...lol).

Oh really? Here's a Maaco job. It'll stand up to any paint job I have seen at the car shows.

Great looking job Jim, you've gotta be pretty happy with yourself by now.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Very nice!  That is a quick time period to get all that done!  Took mine a couple weeks.

And mine is a Maaco job, as well.  We spent a whole $200 getting my car painted.  Our buddy works there.   :icon_smile_wink:  He had bought my wrecked 73 RR and he's been a great help with the Charger.  Very cool dude!  Has a sweet plum crazy 71 RR now with my old scooped hood.  (It was about the only part of the car that was left unsmashed.  :-[ )

Looks great Jim!  Musta been a busy 9 days!  :P  :icon_smile_cool:  Hopefully the weather is good for the Augusta show.  There should be some very rare iron there that gets driven.

QuoteLet me know when ya road trip it to Portland!

Well now I will have to rephrase that and say "Better than any Maaco paint job I have seen in person". You car looks great. Of the 40 or so local Maaco jobs I have seen none were even presentable IMHO. Everybody around here must be getting the Presidential package or something.

Wow, $200 for a paint job? That is a nice deal! The Flame red paint alone cost me all that.

Most people get the cheap paint jobs at Maaco and they are fine for what they are and what they cost. Those that step up to the plate and pay for the best (Signature Service) and pay for the appropriate prep get the nice paint job.

By the way, you did a great job on your car.

Thanks!

If you don't mind me asking, what was the ballpark you paid? Did you have much body work they had to do? I may do as much of the body work as possible on my '68 and have someone else paint it as I would like to have a top notch finish on that car.

41 Husk, you can beat me about the head and shoulder's Saturday, DFS 68, dont say a word.

Going to put a bullet in my head now. Heck I have spent 30 hour's blocking on a Charger hood more than one time as well!

What is your secret, close your eyes, tap your green sneakers toes togather and go "there is no places like Mopar, there is no places like Mopar"? You need to change your name to Dorth and Toe Toe.

Of to find a gun, wonderfull gun of OZ.
