I've at my school and at the one i work at that some of the girls are driving thees big 4x4s. what do they need them for. i have one but i use it. and the dads that buy them for them are not to smart. if they want to git the girls a truck git them a s-10 or something along that line not a 1/2 ton 4x4 and defiantly not a 3/4 ton.

Rack

Don't see what the problem is. It's their money and their taste. Maybe they just like 4x4s better?

I don't "need" a '68 Dodge Charger but I bought one anyway.

MoparMotel

are you refering to lifted trucks or just 4x4's in general?

You never quite know when the weather can change for the worse & the heavy ass rains come through. I've seen some moving water wash out a road faster than a lonely cowboy can crisco a slow sheep. There could be some roads that wash out & the girls dads may want them to get over the washed out terrian & not stuck in a river washing away to the ocean. If they have the money to gas up a 3/4 ton 4x4, then all the more power to them. Women's lib maybe?

Whats the problem? big trucks are cool and a hell of a lot safer to drive around in than a little neon or equivalent.
I know I'd feel a lot more comfortable about my daughter driving if she was in something that would hold up a better in an accident. Thanksfully she's not driving yet but when she does start I'm making sure she's in a mid sized or lager vehicle. Thats for sure.

Here in the city those rides are few and far between but out in Nevada they are as common as the hybreds are here.
There's a undeniable logic in havin a stout vehicle in anycase, & there's a huge after market.
Im guessin them gals are getting dads' and their boyfriends' 4x4s...
in anycase I like em.
you ain't hatin are ya'?

REDNECK

im tackin bout the liftid trucks.

tall trucks and short skirts,do i really need to say anymore?

Troy

Who cares? I've heard the same argument about ricers, musclecars, bullet bikes, and even bicycles (my mountain bike cost more than all but 4 of the cars that I've owned). I drive the cars I like - not because they are practical or fit within someone else's narrow-minded opinion of what I should own. Just be glad those girls are into modified cars/trucks at all.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Nope, never been mudin, not interested in cleaning more things off the vehicles. Been to a farm though, saw a cow step on a cat & shove it deep into the mud & all that stuck up was it's tail, so I guess you're right.

I knew a couple girls in highschool that had huge 3/4 ton trucks but for two reasons, one to pull their horse trailers in, and second, their dads wanted something big enough to keep the girls safe in if they ever got in an accident.
