Mother Nature is truly a wondrous thing. In my travels over the years, I've seen some bad ones, but these storms are Monsters!

That's a type of storm we don't see too often around here (Utah) because of all the surrounding mountains.
We do get some doosies rolling through here, but the clouds don't take that same shape. Pretty cool shots.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

No, I didn't take those.....My brother sent those to me last week. I think they are from National Geographic. But, I have seen storms just like that over the years, and I've had to drive thru a few of those. :icon_smile_shock: :errr: :scared:

Welcome to the site.

Grant I believe you guys had a tornado in downtown SLC several years ago. I can remember my sister calling us about that. I could'nt believe it like you said, especially surrounded by those high mountains surrounding SLC.

Yep, we did. It was a pretty freakish thing to have happen for around here, it mostly affected the downtown area. We get some killer wind storms on a regular basis, but that one just got a little carried away. ;D

Did your Sis tell you about the storm that blew through the Provo area last week? Not quite a tornado, but close enough. :o
