judging from this pic the seats used in the 68-70 charge/daytonas were the same style s/s seats used in the s/s dart' n cuda's which were originally from a-100 dodge vans, anyone have any insight on this subject?-MATT

 Weight would be the first thing that comes to mind,then maybe cost?

Thats right the A-100 van seat was the racing seat of choice back in the day.
