aluminum roller rocker question

i have ran across a set of aluminum full roller rockers in a 1.6 ratio with extra bearings and adjusters along with the spacers and hyd push rods.

he claims they are AMS Racing brand but so far from what i have seen they look real close to the Scat brand rockers.

the engine i have is a stock 383 HP with the stock .450/.458 268/284 cam and when i rebuilt the engine several years ago i upgraded the valves springs for a possible future cam swap.

this is a street only engine and i'm just trying to refine what the factory did and now that i'm a bit lazier in my older age would the 1.6 ratio be a good up grade and what is your thoughts on these cheaper brand rockers especially on a street engine?

I recall a post a while back saying to stay away from the cheap roller rockers. Seems like the needle bearings fall apart and get all inside the motor and cause damage. Makes sense to me, just stay with the stock ones or get a name brand. But I never heared or those so maybe they are ok, but maybe not. Would hate to see you need a new motor.

i haven't heard about the issue on the needle bearings falling out but that would be just my luck ::)

I am not a fan of alum rockers for street use , alum will fail eventually & if they have needle brgs you just reduced your surface area to about 1/100 , if they break you get to fish out needle brgs

thanks very much for the information guys, i have been having second thoughts about buying those rockers and the idea of the needle bearings comming apart is just one more headach i don't want to think about.
