help needed with Barry Grant linkage for SB

If anyone has pictures of their linkage setup for a single 4 bbl. Barry Grant mounted a 318/340/360 I would like to see them. My project is a 1968 Charger, automatic originally a 318 engine now a 340 engine with Edelbrock RPM Performer and Barry Grant 650 Speed Demon.

Just to add to my post. I've mounted the stock linkage for the transmission kickdown and it seems it will work with some minor modifications. I 'm really interested how and where the throttle cable and return springs will mount.

I use the 20-7 Holley linkage adapter with the factory throttle pin

The 20-7 bracket looks like it wll work for the cable and kickdown rod to the carb (with some modifications). The new problem seems to be with the stock throttle cable bracket/ kickdown linkage manifold mounted bracket. The angle of the cable from this bracket will be much too steep and I'm wondering if anyone makes a highrise bracket?
I've checked Edelbrock and BG's site and neither shows such a adapter, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Help!

What I did was to raise my bracket by using two long studs. My bracket mounted on the intake manifold, so I removed it and put 2 long studs where the intake bolts went. Then I used washers and nuts on the intake. I then used 2 more nuts and only put them half the way down, then I put the bracket over the studs on top of the nuts and adjusted the hight. Once it was right I used another 2 nuts on top of the bracket. Work good now for 10 years.

Nope sorry-me al cheapo still has not got a digital camera yet. Last time I look at them want to get a slim type and it was $300, so I got nothing.

I describe it the best I could, I used studs instead of bolts to hold the intake down. Then I put a nut on each stud about halfway down. The bracket then went on top of the nuts. Was able to adjust the hight a little bit more and afterwards used 2 more nuts too hold the bracket down. You need  to use 2 wenches. Was just going to use it until I got something better, but never did. Does work fine. It slows me down if I remove the intake but thats not to often.

I can picture the setup but because of the angle of the intake bolts (mine is a small block) doesn't that offset the bracket too much towards the center of the engine rather than inline with the carb linkage? Also did you use the stock cable and tranny kickdown linkage? Thanks.

I don't remember everything I did to well. Its was over 10 years ago-before e-bay and the internet-I did not get the internet till 3 years ago. I might have bent the bracket with chanl-locks not sure. I did use the stock cable at first but I had to cut some of the plastic off by the carb so it would go down farther cause I had to also bend the gas pedal to get the throttle open all the way. I did use the kick down linkage but that too had to get bent. I know have a manual valve body and threw my linkage away-can't believe what some go for on e-bay. Maybe this is to much work and you be better just going on e-bay and finding the right parts. That kick down screws everything up, otherwise you could just get something that blots on the carb.I do know you can get a cable for the trans , that might be the way to go. I would never spend $100+ on a kick down linkage on e-bay. The cable sounds like it work fine. Lokar the brand #2727 for the 727 and #2904 for the 904 Summitt wants $74.95 for it. They have different ones if you use their cable bracket . You might want to call summitt or lokar and ask them. Lokar makes nice stuff and and won't cost anymore than that used e-bay stuff thats hard to adjust.

Doesn't anyone on this site know about the taller throttle brackets and throttle returns that are sold by www.magnumhp.com or Mancini Racing?  You can also get them from Don at FBO, Bob Mazzolini Racing, etc.  Don at FBO is a good guy to talk to on Demon carbs and he sells a special throttle extension lever that is designed for Demon carbs and Mopar kickdown linkages.

Here is a picture of the special Demon throttle extension.  This picture also shows a taller throttle bracket that is designed to work with the factory 3 part kickdown linkage when using a Performer RPM manifold.

Here is the link to Don's website.  His business is called FBO and he is a big Demon carb expert.  Don't ask him about any other carbs than Demons unless you want to listen to a long rant!

Thanks for the replies. I found FBO (www.4secondsflat.com) over the weekend and just got off the phone with Don. I've ordered the extended throttle cable bracket and Lokar kickdown cable kit. According to Don highrise manifolds like Eddy RPM's really change the geometry of the kickdown linkage and Lokar is the only way to go (at least for weekend warriors like me).
