It's just one simple question.........i know i need to shorten the driveshaft 4", but i've read a few times that i need a different yoke also.........will the driveshaft from that fits into a 906 fit into a 727??

8WHEELER

The 904 drive shaft yoke will have the small U-joints, you will need the large big block shaft yoke and shaft.

Plenty of 383 and 400 cars came with small yokes, so you could use one if you wanted to save cash with parts on hand or that are available. Definitely use the large yoke if performance is in mind. Also, the 904 yoke will not physically slide into the tailshaft of a 727, so you are going to have to find one anyway.

A driveshaft shop will tell you how to measure the length required if you are going to have one made. It's better to rely on actual measurement than advice.
