They just re-did there music format a few months ago to play everything from the '80 til todays hard rock. If you don't have a radio station that plays this stuff near you, you now can listen on your computer too as they have streaming play. I know from traveling around the country in my time, not all places have a cool radio station to listen to. The station I am talking about...  "The Hog" from Milwaukee, Wi.

Here's the link to listen. You will not be dissapointed http://www.1029thehog.com

Some of the stuff they play;

DEF LEPPARD (old and the new re-make of "Rock On")
CHEAP TRICK (old & New)
HURRICANE
METALLICA
SCORPIONS
DOKKEN
RAINBOW
GREAT WHITE
DIO
JETHRO TULL
YES
ALDO NOVA
PINK FLOYD (not just stuff off the wall)
KISS
MOTLEY CRUE
ASIA
POISEN
BILLY SQUIRE
GUNS n ROSES
ACCEPT
ACE FREHLY
SLAUGHTER (actually as I'm posting this right now)
SKID ROW
STYX
ALICE COOPER
JOAN JET
VIXEN
RATT
VH
SAMMY HAGAR (solo stuff as well as VH)
FORIENER
AC/DC
OZZY
FIREHOUSE (not the ballads either)
PAT TRAVERS BAND
MOLLY HATCHET
BLACK SABBATH
JUDAS PRIEST
CINDERELLA
BRITNY FOX
DONNIE IRIS
HEART
LED ZEP
WINGER
BOSTON
NIGHT RANGER
and a lot of other stuff most stations won't even touch any more. Those are just a few of the bands that I can think of right now. They also play some of the bigger songs from the '90s thru today by newer bands for a good mix.

KISW-FM (99.9, The Rock) does the same thing weekends in the Seattle area.
Sixty-eights look great and the '69 is fine.
But before the General Lee there was me - Headrope.

satellite radio, it kicks ass.

yep...Sirius has "Hair Nation" (the name should be self explanatory), "Buzzaw" and "Octane". I can assure you none of those stations play Gwen Stefani.

I figured if it was good enuf for Todd, I would like it.

Fittingly enuf the first song was Girls, Girls, Girls by MC.

those stations are all fine and dandy, except that most people listen to the radio while theyre in the car or at work...try streaming if you don't have a computer or a high speed connections.

I still say satellite radio pwnz.

That's f-ing cool!  :musik010:
It's like the computer knows what I want to hear next and - so far - no streaming!

What's radio?  I haven't had a working radio in one of my cars in over a year now.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

We just got my MP3 player hooked up.  I only have about 80 songs loaded so far.
Years ago you used to see 8 track tape strewn across the roads from getting tossed out the windows.  I'm gonna start doing that with all those useless CD's.

TruckDriver

I agree Chris, The Hog's Bob & Brian in the morning are STUPID unless you like their politics  20 years ago they were funny, now there just old. I don't turn on the hog til after there off the air. Til then I usually listen to WAPL 105.7 out of Appleton, or The Brew 97.3.

I love the brew!  they were awesome till like 3-4 months ago they changed slightly and became "variety". so in other words they still play the stuff that rocks, they just put some crap between the good songs now.

TruckDriver

I agree with the crap. To much '80s "pop" ballads or Blondie :-X
