Forgot to say that I had a great time too. Sorry I didn't find you guy's earlier. :-[ I thought Mike and Karen were great hosts and the guests Wayne brought in were very cool. The cruise was a very fun, enjoyable ride through the countryside. Very hilly. Also, I had to leave early Sunday morning. Could anyone fill us in on what happened Sunday.

Not trying to stir up crap but I would have thought these shows would be alot larger. Even doubling that would be pretty small, I thought it would be like 700-1000 cars.  :ahum: :ahum:

It WAS a great show and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. I know I did. Mike did a great job pulling this off and many thanks to him. The only thing wrong with this show is it had to end. :'(

I thought the turnout was good. The projection was for 200-250 cars. There were 160 cars plus about 30 that could not make the trip because they were being worked on. That would have been about 190 or so cars. I have two cars, but only brought one. I am sure there were others. ITSA426 has about 10, but he only brought his 1966 426 Hemi car and his 2006 Charger. That's 10 more cars right there. How many other multiple car owners could only bring 1 or 2 and not all of them? Who knows.

I was planning on bringing my /6 Charger, but work issues got in the way of going back to Kansas for it.  Maybe I will be able to make one of the shows with it next year when I finish school.  I was lucky I got to attend on Saturday and Sunday, but wished I could have been there on Thursday and Friday also.  I did bring pics of my project cars though  so I was not totally empty handed......

Wayne gave a really good speech at the end of the show.  He had asked me to write my numbers of years in the registry down and a purpose for being a member.  He was a little off on the numbers of years that he thought I had been in, but I could not actually remember when I first joined so I just put down a low number since I did not want to lie.  I admit that I have not been as active as I wanted to be with the registry in the past due to my work schedule preventing me from attending the registry shows.  This was the first TDC show that I have been able to attend and it was the best car show that I have been at in a long time.  I guess Wayne remembered my name well since I am constantly trying to give him info on Chargers that I run across (I had talked to him on the phone at least three times over the years with the majority of the calls lasting more than 1 hour)  and most of the cars I find are oddballs that stick out like a sore thumb in the registry.  I was really shocked that I got one of the jackets as I felt like that there were many others that deserved that honor more than me......

Oh I see good enough to host but not get in the picture. Yeah so that is how you treat me.

OK, so I might have been just a little bit busy with other things. I wish I had more time to kick back and chat but I didn't want to let anyone down. So next meet maybe I'll get a chance to visit more. I am glad everyone seem to have a great time, Not counting the two accidents but no one was hurt in either.

Sorry Mike.

I did look but couldn't find you. It was about 10 minutes before the Saturday cruise so you were probably getting that organized. Thanks again I know you and your wife worked real hard all weekend long so everyone could have a good time.

BTW: How many walky talky batteries did you go through?  ;)

Actually the batteries were the rechargeables. We just dropped them in the chargers every night. Otherwise I would have had to stockpile alot of batteries. But it was just to far from one end to the other to just run over and talk to someone and run back. But I sure got my excersize. And even with all that walking I didn't lose one pound I don't think.

Crap, I didn't even know that you were a member here Dewey.  :brickwall: Did you know who I was? We need to put something in our windows so everyone knows who is who. I did get you in a pic though.  ;)

Sorry man, I love 4 speed cars and your original Ramcharger Hood '72 440 4 speed Dana car was great! How many did they make? Glad you and the family made it home safe.

Here's a blurry Mike....... Dude, you did a GREAT job !!!!

For those that thought the show should or was expected to be bigger, it was a great turnout.. For those that didn't atteng, ya'll missed a great showing......  Maybe the low turnout was because of the "Well, there'll be alot showing up, no need for me to go".....

Cheers to Wayne and his family for the efforts he did.. He had plenty of good support and help from the likes of Mike/family and Wes/family and the others I know were there, but name's escapes me...........  The speech by the former director during the day (Mike, I forget his name) and his enlightment of Dodge happenings that led to the Dodge Charger........

694spd440,
Don't worry about not recognizing me from the board, I didn't recognize you as a member eather until I got home! I heard your wife tell someone one Friday that you were gone taking pictures with someone from your internet group. I should have figured it out then but didn't.

I think it would be a very good idea to come up with a standardized way of identification of members at a show. Maybe a sticker of of some sort that everyone knows to look for. This was a perfect example, I sat right next to you for 4 days and had no idea! :rotz: :rotz:

My car is 1 of 165 440 4 speed Rallye's for 72. With the N96 hood and Dana 60 I've been told anywhere between 1 and 18. I haven't been able to verify 100% but working on it.

General01's ride.

BTW: I saw you being followed through the motel parking lot by a cop....is there a story to tell? :scratchchin:

Nope. I pulled over before we left the lot to check my trailer lights and he just drove on by. Maybe just checking the cars out in the lot. One time I am glad I don't have a story to tell.

Ty, I also LOVED that 69 RT/SE. I drooled every time I walked past that car. Rick and Marie (owners) were parked right next to Ron and Alma, who I know from here. I told them they had an awesome car. If I would have remembered to vote, I would have voted for their car in the people's choice ballot. Very nice.

Pocketthunder will be very disappointed I didn't study your car Troy. Like I said earlier, I just kept running into people to talk to and never had a chance to study the cars. I am hoping to make it to Boerne next year so I can check it out then if you are there.

I agree with doing something so people know who you are at shows. I didn't think of it this weekend, but maybe we could write something along the lines of "DC.com-General_01" on the border of your Info sheets that you usually get at shows.

Sorry I missed you 72Ralleye440. Nice car though.
