Oh barf, just when the dust had started to settle, some ignorant pee-on had to call the Charger's design "Retro-esque" How insulting since Captain Dunsal (Trevor Creed) was opposed to ANY retro styling in the 4 door Charger.

Just wondering.....what's "the truth?"

I think even you said all the "retro" stickers on this car was a bit much, aint that the truth. :D

I think the truth is... The one's to claim to hate these new Chargers the most, are the one's always starting topics about them or contributing to other threads concerning these wonderfully constructed Chargers.  :P

I kinda like that one....... :scratchchin:

I do too. That is the '07 Super Bee version of the SRT8 so it is not likely to be on any lot.

To be honest the Tor Red Daytona is not bad either and my wife loves them. We drove a Black Charger R/T and a Chrysler 300C a month ago. To me the Charger felt less bulky but, I just can't see paying these premium prices for them. There has yet to be any real deals on them IMO so "if" we get one it will be a used one next year.

Just when I thought you had some sense, you have to ask a question like that?

You can't handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives...You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty...we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use 'em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to!

I certainly did.  Hockey stripes and black hoods don't have a place on a 38,000 dollar performance car...but you can give me a solid black (or silver) SRT-8 anytime.

Y'all can think what you want. I think it's a bad ass looking car compared to the others out there on the market.
Sixty-eights look great and the '69 is fine.

If it was a bumblebee stripe instead of a hockey stripe, I'd be a lot more inclined to give it a pass.  I'm OK with the black hood, but that stripe looks too stubby.

I still think that car looks best in a solid color with zero chrome though.

I don't think every charger guy hates the new model. I'ld take one over a cobalt or fusion any day. But if they had offered it in a (2Dr)coupe it would all have been a non issue. They probly wouldnt have sold too many (4Dr)sedans then. I thought that they should have originally called the "Viper" a Charger but thats just me. Where did "viper" come from any way.

That "tor red" on those sure looks like the flame red that was on my '98 neon.   I always wondered why they insist on putting that ugly (my opinion) inferno red on every car nowadays...

The flame red on my dad's 04 truck seemed to have a little more orange in it to me. I like the inferno red trucks but, don't care it on the Charger at all. In fact the only colors I do like it in are black, Tor red, and mayge Go mango.

I just have to take issue with the pinhead who wrote this garbage...Eric Bryant. I guess he's a paid Daimler spokesman...paid to say "what Charger controversy" Or maybe he's just legally blind. :shruggy:

Captain Dunsal (Daimler VP Trevor Creed for those of you in Rio Linda) said something "anti-retro" about the Charger's design everytime he opened his mouth, sooooooooooooo were's the retro-esque styling on this car again?. I'm just not seeing it, help me out here. :P
