THe person who installed my shifter installed it wrong(it's a BM Mega universal).  When you go to reverse it sits right on top of the first tooth instead of in the bucket(making neutral the first valley it sits in smooth).  So i'm thinking simple rigging adjustment, nope.  Unhook the cable and run her to first, drop the pin in the hole.  TIghten up the adjusters on the bracket, remove the pin on the cable, put it in park, slide the tranny to park and i'm a quarter inch off for the pin to drop in the hole.  WTF?  I don't know what adjustment to make now.  if i move the bracket, in my mind it still doesn't work, any way i think of it it just won't line up.  Anybody got any suggestions on how I can dial this in from 1st to park???

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

GOt back under today and decided that what he did was drive it in to the GM park postition, it's a long valley on top and you can overdrive it into park.  so i just slid the shifter back a littlle pulling the cable just a little bit and got underneath and the pin slid right in.  It works smooth as silk now all gears.  :drive:

Have to replace the cable though eventually cause he also decided to lay it right on top of the headers ???
Gettin one monday from summit and i'll just keep it with me.  I also fabbed a little hook and slid it onto the little bolt on the back side of the starter  in the lower rear right corner.  No more touchy the headers :icon_smile_big: :icon_smile_big:
