I replaced mine with Dorman p/w motors. I went to my local NAPA and they found in their system ones that go back to 1969. It's the same for 1968 but for some reason it only goes back to 1969. They mesh up with the regulators but you do have do some hardware mods. Spacers and through bolts but it works. They sell all 4 motors. Both RH are the same front & rear and both LH are the same front & rear. They weigh 1 pound less per motor. $60.00 ea. If you buy all 4 together they give you a discount. I kept my originals. They are faster than the originals.

I did the same as Vegas. The originals worked after rebuilding, but the Dorman's are lighter and faster. I move all 4 simultaneously without any issues. Works like a charm.

Do you think the gear ratios are slightly different or just younger?
The ones on my 70 can be a little slow at times and I'm unsure if it's an alignment issue or whether they're just old and tired, like me  :eek2:
Gotta love a '69

I can't really tell if it's because of the gears or voltage. The stock motors worked great after the rebuild, but they were still slower than the new motors. I should have measured the voltage.
