The weather held out but it sure was hot!  :o

Went with my son Kael & left on Thursday morning. We hit traffic due to construction & an accident but it wasn't terrible & lost about 1/2 hour of travel time. We got to the Carlisle Fairgrounds in the afternoon, walked around for about 2 hours & decided to go eat & check into the hotel.

Friday was overcast so it made it easier to last all day in the heat. Looked at a lot of the show cars & the ones in the car corral, then headed to the swap area. One of the first vendors I saw in the swap area had 1970 Plymouth B-Body parts. Since I have a 1970 Road Runner I stopped to look.

On the table was a 1969 Camaro front spoiler. I knew exactly what it was & many of the Charger guys have used them on the front of their cars. I had wanted to get one back in the 80's when I had my first Charger, but it wasn't at the top of my list & I had sold the car anyway. He said to make an offer so I did & I went home with it.

Saturday was brutally hot & very sunny all day. Still a lot to look at in the swap meet but I wasn't worried about finding much since I have most of what I need. I did remember to grab a reverse light switch from Passon when I saw his booth. The one on my Road Runner is cracked.

We did go back on Sunday for about 2 hours & got lots of pictures inside Building T with the invitational cars. This years theme was all the wild paint jobs, both factory & custom. Sunday mornings are best for this building because the crowd is minimal & they remove the stanchions so you can get better photos as they get ready to leave.

So here's a bunch of photos from the show. Feel free to copy & save anything you want & if you want an original that may be slightly better quality just ask & I can email it.

This car was absolutely amazing.  :coolgleamA:  Lots of subtle craftsmanship that is almost unnoticeable, like cutting out a 3 to 4 inch section of the entire dash to make it narrow enough to fit into an A-Body.  :o

Was good to catch up with at Carlisle. Wonder if the yellow bird in the car corral sold. It was not matching numbers and he turned down 115k.

That's amazing to see a project go for that kind of money.  :o

If I hadn't just bought my house back when you were selling that white Superbird (1990 or 1991) I'd have it parked in my garage right now.
