Would you actually consider getting a foreign Mopar?

Hey folks, with all the different Mopar models from back in the day, would you consider purchasing one?

Kern Dog

I like the Australian and South American versions of the A body.

Yes, the Aussie A-body Chargers seem really cool IMO.  Especially with a straight-6 Hemi.

The parts would be hard to get.  But at some point it's all mail-order catalog stuff anyway.  Local yards don't have much 1970s Mopar stuff these days even when it's a domestic model.

Two problems:

#1, The steering wheel is on the wrong side.

#2, A 'Mad Max' Ford Falcon is on my Australian wish list too.

A good Falcon coupe, especially an original GT, will set you back a lot more than a Charger in Oz.
Having said that, a triple webered 6 cyl Charger will be a lot more fun to drive
Gotta love a '69

Ummm...no. Most foreign Mopars wearing a sporty name seem to be 4-door versions of our 2-door vehicles that set fire to the name in the first place. Sooo... Blah!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Like maybe the 67-72 Swiss made Monteverde 375 that came equipped with a 440? Sure, would be cool.

HPP

Its not foreign, but maybe the 69-70 Samsco Warriors powered by a 440, yep, I would definitely consider it.

I would not mind an Australian Charger.
My 2012 Challenger is made in Canada. Guess that is foreign enough.
So, so sad what America has become..... on so many levels.
1963 Belvedere 413 Max Wedge
1970 Charger R/T S.E. 440 sixpack.
1970 Challenger R/T Drag Radial 528 Hemi
1970 Charger 500 S.E. 440 4 BBL
1970 Road Runner 383 4 BBL
1974 Chrysler New Yorker 440 4 BBL
1996 Dodge Ram 2500 V-10 488 cu in.
2004 Dodge Ram 3500 CTD Dually 6x6

Got this about a month ago, it's a Mercedes with a Mopar skin built  in Germany.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

No stranger than hearing that V8 sound coming from a Toyota truck, and Audi, or a Porsche, or even any late model, 4 dr domestic built car. Especially when they have installed an aftermarket exhaust system that creates that familiar V8 rumble.

But to each their own...

I have a Jensen Interceptor sitting in my garage. Seems way faster than it should be. Its a fairly small car.

Kern Dog

If I were in Australia, I'd want a foreign Mopar...an American spec '70 Charger of course!

Old Moparz

Not technically a Mopar, but they have Mopar drive trains. The Jensen Interceptor & a Facel Vega FV4 Typhoon.

Ick....I agree, the Foreign Mopars are not good looking. That Jensen with its 64-66 Barracuda type rear window and Porsche 924 looking taillight area is just butt ugly.
No offense to the owners, this is just my strong opinion.

I'm not a huge fan of the rear window either but I like the idea of a 440 in a small sports car.

As much as I like ragtops, this car needed to have something done better with the top assembly when it's folded down.
