How many of you guys have excessive wind noiseafter putting in repro parts & Windows in your cars???
Does it get any better after the car sees a few summers???

If you are referring to the thicker weatherstrips, that is something that sometimes goes away after the rubber compresses a bit.
My last long road trip in my red Charger had me a bit annoyed with the whistle at the left door vent frame. Once I was home, I checked the  fitment of the frame against the A pillar. The right side tucked in but the left was almost flush with the rain gutter above. My other '70 Charger vent frames were the same as the right side of the red car. I adjusted the vent frame by the bolt at the bottom of the door shell. The wind noise was cut down by a lot.
A member of this forum bought one of those one piece door window kits that eliminates the vent window assembly. The goal may have been to shed weight and reduce noise but he showed how the shape of the glass did not lay flat against the weatherstripping. He was determined to make it work to the extent of modifying the A pillar to push the weatherstrip flange out to meet the glass and fill in the void with patched metal sections.
I've come to learn that there are limits to getting these old cars quieter than they were when new. You'd have to shave the rain gutters, eliminate the stainless trim, recess the wiper arms, use more shapely mirrors and recess the door handles to make a measurable improvement in wind noise. By then, the cars look a lot different.

All true. I was having this exact same discussion with a friend the other day. Even if you could eliminate the wind whistles in the door & window gaskets, there is more exterior wind noise at highway speeds due to everything Kern Dog mentioned above.

My car makes noise in the corner of the driver window also
I have found if I un latch the vent window it cuts the noise in half
Not sure if it just enough to change the shape in that space or change air pressure inside car vs outside but it seems to help

Getting a classic car to do a 9-second quarter mile is easy compared to making the interior as quiet as a modern car.
