whats the difference 440hp/440hp2

i've heard all sorts of diifferent answers about this subject, but here it goes, whats the difference between a 69hp 440 block, and a 69 hp2 440 block? What does the 2 mean? Is there a difference?

Yep shift production would be correct. Some think that the HP2 designation automatically gives the block sixpack status but it simply does not.
