This on a 70 Charger,
Is it  140 F.P.s as the FSM seems to require??

Thanks, Joe

Yep, with the car sitting on it's wheels and ride height set.

That said, if you have aftermarket PST shafts I found that their steels threads won't make it beyond 100 ft-lbs.

The threads strip more easily?  As in, the steel is softer than original?

Yeppers. When I torque something I work my way there at 10 or 20 ft-lbs at a time. I got my passenger side up to 100 on the Bee and then the drivers side started to say no at 100. So don't go past that with aftermarkets, not a big deal IF YOU KNOW AHEAD OF TIME. PST denies it "never had an issue". The OE's on my Dart I recently had no problem cranking 130 on those and they're a size smaller than B bodies that are spec'd at 140.
