I have seen a few ads saying they have two build sheets for their car

Is there more than one type of build sheet or are they the same info but just the instructions that different workers were using to grab the right parts ?

i'm far from an expert , & not sure what the correct answer is , think  they are all the same copies for each individual car  , from what ive seen with 69s / 70s  even if there are  two or three found all the same  , one might have certain checked off  options circled with a pen  or a  grease type crayon  , & or written text on the sheet , then on another  identical sheet  no options  circled & or any extra written text  , just the normal  trim code written by hand in big letters on the broad cast sheet with a black crayon , even seen a few hamtramck  sheets with out the  trim code  in crayon  :shruggy:    i cant ever remember seeing the trim code also hand written in black type crayon on any other assembly plant  sheet  other than hamtramck , although i have not seen enough sheets from other plants so that dont mean much  :shruggy:

i await to be corrected  :2thumbs: :popcrn:

So other than saying I am more lucky to find 2 sheets than the guy that only has 1 sheet no big deal   :2thumbs:

You know, Ive seen that and didn't really think about it, thought it was like two fender tags meaning lots of options...but ANY AND ALL options fit on one sheet. So could only mean "I found two build sheets, hooray for me!"

The term "broadcast" is used because data for a specific car build was sent to, or broadcast, to various stations within the assembly process.

For example, the section that assembled dashes had to build a dash specific to a particular car. Therefore, one sheet taped to a dash.  The trim section had to have the proper style, color, material and configuration (bench/bucket) for a specific car. Therefore, sheets in the seats. Multiple sheets can be found in the same car decades multiple sections of a plant needed a sheet to do their job.

Sometimes, sheets for the same car will not match meaning the same info was not printed on both sheets or there will be slight differences in the sheets. Sometimes, common with the sheets found in a common trim, will not be the sheet for that car.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

Now they call them Maroney sheets :scratchchin:

Yes, I found 3 build sheets in my 67. All 3 had different markings on them. One under the passenger seat, one behind the glove box and one in the back panel of the driver seat,
The Monroney sheet is also the window sticker and is named after the Legislator who introduced the law that all cars should have a uniform sticker on the window to be sold.
Or something like that, see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monroney_sticker

So were all the papers the same but just different people checked off the parts they were working on kind of thing ?

All the same and as you can see one is near pristine. That is the one that was behind the seat back.

Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Huh, so THATS why there's multiple sheets!

Mine had 3.25 - two for my car (one loose one still in rear seat back) one on rear seat bottom for a XS charger and a fragment of one under the Carpet on Pax side but it Didn't match my car
