I started laying down the paint September 1. Its taken me gobs of hours of sanding. I have had 2 semi major issues and still one biggie remaining but I thought id post it up anyway.

Color is coral torquise

Thanks it was a project. I did not expect it to come out as good as it did.

If I had more experience I would have painted stripes. I might dress it up someday.

The color looks great. Keep up the good work.

Nice work!  Is it the angle of the picture or are those round side marker holes?
My first Charger was a Stock Car.

Very nice!   Great job on the hood! :2thumbs:  Is that a factory sunroof car?  The hole looks larger in the picture from the rear.
Post more pics! it's looking GREAT!

68 charger side markers.
Its got 71 fenders (double side marker) and new quarter panels (side markers not cut out), so I figured to do something different.

Never noticed hood...do tell!

Long story short, the charger hood had some problems and I had a challenger hood that had been in a crash. This work was done in 2013. Was just sitting around waiting for the rest of the car to catch up.

Its a sliding rag.
The car was a filler over rust (Maaco) disaster. Major portions of the roof were not salvageable, as well as floor, wheel wells, rockers, doors, trunk and many other things I cant even remember any longer.

Looks great. It's very satisfying to paint your own car when you get it to this point! Congrats.

actually is the second hood I have seen with the challenger buldge on a 3rd gen Charger... Can't remember the other board member with it, but it was on a white 72 as far I recall ( or it was an F3 green ? damn!!! LOL )

It looks really nice. Would be great the air entries were functional!!

The bodyman working on my Charger modified a bulged hood to make it look like a Cuda AAR Hood.

It was a 71 R/T hood but damaged and missed the louvers, so opening was patched and buldge modified to look like that. ( my car but not my hood ).

You're probably thinking of my car, Nacho.

Here's an old grainy picture of it after I made the hood back in the '90s:

And here's a more recent picture of it after I brought it home from the barn I had it stored in for several years...
