I had to look when the auctioneer said in the listing that it was a convertible. Last time I chased a Charger Conv. it turned out to be a 69 R/T. The lot owner said: I have the title!  Pointed out it was obviously a Coronet body. Next morning on the way to work, the "charger" convertible was gone. It was one of those kind of used car dealers.

Well the auctioneer did not say it is a convertible... he said he can offer "Fabulous convertibles-muscle-tractors and more..."; the only convertible Charger is the one that was "hacksawed"....however I can understand if the work "Convertibles" made you stop and look.

It looks really neat in pictures...

I googles the VIN and saw a Hemmings ad.

It brought $61,250

The listing indicated "We will be getting a Govier report for the car." but did not provide a date for receipt of the report!  Not sure the report really means a whole lot these days.

Auctioneers are salesman and they often take liberties with their pitches, but the story rings true. For $65K (with commissions and such) the buyer will most likely be confirming every aspect of their claims, regardless of what Govier might say.
Until they pay, there has not been a sale. Contracts are: Offer, acceptance, and consideration. Until you have all three, there is no completed or binding contract.

The 1970 only B body optional racing mirrors were in fact really Mopar A body racing mirrors, unfortunately the mirrors on this car are cheap aftermarket plastic mirrors painted
