how to mini tube the outter wheelhouse ???

Hy all...

i have to replace the quarter panels and the outter  / inner wheelhouse at my 70er charger...

IN this context... i want to mini tube the car..

Unfortuntely i cannot find again some threads about this topic ...

Some days ago i saw some pics ...where the outter tube ends directly at the quarter panel....

My question is ..how the tube is installed at the quarter panel side is the tube welded to the panels ?

not sure how to weld the tubes in ??  without warping the outside of the quarter panel  !!

You don't mini tub the outer wheel house unless you flare out the quarter panel.  However, you can take out the indent in the outer wheel house to clearance for wider tires.

To do a mini tub, you widen the wheel well inward, toward the framerails.  This alters the backseat and your trunk torsion bar spring assembly.

they make the outers that have the ridge removed

I saw that AMD makes wider INNER tubs, not outers. If they make outers, I have not seen them. That would be great if they are available!
Just for clarification, you should be writing T U B, not TUBES.  A tube is entirely different.

JB posted the link. I modified the outer wheel tubs with the quarter panels in place.
