A 22 year long dream finally came true. I've wanted a charger since I was about 4 years old and 22 years later I got lucky and made it happen. I picked up a rust free 68 R/T about 45 minutes from where I grew up. It has no drive terrain or suspension, but has brand new legendary interior installed along with dynomat on the floors/fire wall and new wiring from bumper to bumper. I paid $16,000 for it. I'm not comfortable spending this much on a project without some sort of insurance. Is there anyone out there that will insure a charger that is not running/driving just yet?

Yes, I know I have too many cars. My wife reminds me daily.

Just a thought I've had Hagerty for years. Than I shopped around and I found NCM Insurance. Two cars 70 Convertible, 70 Charger 10,000 and 30,000  agreed value. they beat Hagerty by almost 300.00 a yea.

I have comprehensive coverage with Amfam on a Charger rolling chassis. Agreed value: $6k. The premium is $20 per year, added to house and other cars. My '74 pickup is covered to $22k for $20 per year. Must call them to drive the pickup. They didn't give me a limit, but say if I drive it a lot, I'll have to buy a different policy.

Hagerty insures projects? Has that always been the case. I tried to get my Jeep insurance through them and they told me it had to be finished. And this one ran and drove.

I've had Condon & Skelly since 1989. Rates are lower than average, they cover any & all phases of the car restoration, allow modifications, cover spare parts you have stored & only have a few stipulations. You MUST keep it in a locked garage, you MUST have a daily driver & provide them with info on it & you MUST provide photos of the car you want covered.

My policy covers 5 cars ranging from a $2500 major project to a $18,000 finished car & the annual premium is $360 for all 5 of them.
