ever since watching Bullitt   & dirty mary crazy larry , in the late 70s as a kid was prolly 7 or 8 years old , then one day my dad said you got to watch this new tv show thats just starting  !  dukes of hazzard ,  been nutts about chargers ever since

Welcome.  I started really liking chargers when I was about your age as well.  My dad bought one when I turned 5, but I think the first time I cleaned and waxed it was about 6 years later.  I'll post some more pictures of that car when I get new ones.  

Let me add that my son just turned 22 and developed a love for automotive aerodynamics when he was about your age.  He just finished college and this is what he will do for his first job.  The car bug is contagious.

Hello from the little old UK....I also got addicted due to the "Dukes"! The very first one was aired in the US on my birthday (January 26) when I was 12 in 1979....but we did not see it here until about a year later. My son is 11 next month....and already car mad!!

I dont know what I did wrong, my son cant stand cars, much less the idea of working on them. 
There, I said it, I'm a failed parent. 

BTW, I saw my first DOH show back in England, then ended up owning a 69 Charger near Coventry at the age of 16 (I never got to drive it).

Lucky you to have a pop like yours.....and what a lucky man to have a kid like you interested in neat old cars.   My two sons respect my car for what it is, but don't show too much interest beyond that.   

Don't take these cool classic machines for granted, and learn as much as you can about them from dear ol' Dad.
