ARP Fasteners Lube In Flywheels

I would usually use blue Loctite on flywheel bolts but I have some new ARP bolts and they came with this new (to me) special ARP lube which they recommend.  I'm just  uneasy about using it  on flywheel bolts, shouldn't I be better with Loctite on those?

ARP offer special lub  for its bolts /  nuts on studs etc to achieve the correct  torque  with a torque wrench for things like engine  head &  bottom end studs nuts & bolts, which require a more critical torque value  & no lub  metal to metal tightening friction will alter the torque readings .

IMO for a fly wheel / flexplate / torque converter bolts  install them dry & ALWAYS use Loctite on threads & use factory torque specks !

think of it as  kind of a reverse  of  don't use  locktite on mains & rod bearing bolts / nuts

That is kind of my thinking exactly tan top.  Not being an engineer, I had to wonder though.  As a sidenote, I also picked up some ARP pressure plate bolts and the special lube was not included.  It's another area where I have always used a thread locker and will again.

I know I've always used locktite on pressure plate bolts. Flywheel bolts on the other hand I think I also used locktite but not on every install. I've been using the ARP flywheel bolts also, but saved the special lubricant for elsewhere on the engine

I just did a new clutch and flywheel the other day. I used Grade 8 bolts for the flywheel and the Mcleod pressure plate bolts supplied. Used blue Loctite on both and torqued to factory spec.

And a call to ARP revealed that they specify their lubricant under the head of the bolt and thread locker on the threads.
