Which Was Your Favorite

Rocky I
Rocky II
Rocky III
Rocky IV
Rocky V
They All Sucked, Nighthawks Was Much Better
Rambo Would Destroy Rocky

So which one was your favorite. If you say none, you ain't human. I like Rocky III the best. It had the awesome Clubber Lang in it. He was bad. I know it's a movie, but he was blasting cats out of the ring. I and II were good as well, but III had the all around package (soundtrack, Mr.T, etc.).

Give it up and vote/reply.  :yesnod:  ;)

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

speaking of Rocky movies. I caught a little bit of Hulk Hogan's show on Vh1 the other day. Anyway, this kid that's trying to bang his daughter was working out with Hulk hoping to do some male bonding. THe kid says "you know what my favorite match of yours is?" "which one"? "The one where you fought Rocky"  ;D

OK, the best rocky movie is most defiantly Rocky IV. Rocky IV combines all the great reasons to fight some one. First off its Rocky you know he want to fight, second, its 1985 and this bozo who is asking for the fight is a Russian... Rocky is a good American, you know he want to kick Russian butt. But Rock is smart... dispite the fact that his head is filed with hamburger by this point, he hesitates and dosen't come out with his dukes up. So Apollo his best friend fights the Russian and dies... not he has the most important reason to fight, for revenge.
Now rocky is old school, he grew up in the street, and the Russian is on more steroids then Berry Bonds. I think Rocky IV has the best montage. You see the Russian punching computers and getting pumped full of drugs and you see rock chopping down trees and climbing to the top of mountains.
So as you see Rocky IV shows us that:
-Rocky is a great American, fighting the Evil Russian
-Rocky has to fight to defend the honor of his friend Apollo.
-Rocky's sprit overcomes all the technology the Russians can pump into a single human.
-And in the end rocky don't kill him and give a very hart touching yet slurred speech about coming together.

This movie is the best of all Rocky movies!

Rocky III was awesome.   In almost any other movie series I'd be calling this flick #1 easily if it weren't for the special case of Rocky IV.
Rocky III was somewhat compromised by the storyline.  It came pretty close to having an actual plot.

IMHO, "Rocky IV" was the ultimate expression of all that is Rocky.  It was a full-blown 1980s "Mendoza killed my partner!" kind of storyline. And it absolutely sledgehammered you over the head with cold-war nationalism in the process.  Hollywood makes a lot of cheese, but rarely are they so blantant & uncompromising about it.

tan top

i think rocky III was best in my opinion ,  that was a good where rocky was  clowning around in the ring saying " you ant so bad , Apollo hits harder than you "  :boxing_smiley: and Clubber Lang was getting real mad that he could not KO Rocky .but rocky IV , and  the original rocky i would say are joint second for me , but i still would  watch them all again when showing on tv, as they are all good films really

Crazy Larry

Rocky 1 because of Mickey and the whole rags to success story - even though he didn't win. That is one hell of a screenplay and Mickey has some of the best lines in it. "Yer gonna CRAP Lightning and SPIT thunder" or "women weaken legs!"

Classic....

but in a VERY close 2nd is Rocky IV - Ivan Drago is an awesome bad-guy and the whole crappola of the iron curtain fraud was presented very well in the film - showed how the commies would stop at nothing to try to put down the Americans, and it was always good ol' American will and strength that would overcome.

yet, another classic.

3, 4, 1, 2, 5.

I only went to 4 at a theater.
Black Betty:  1969 Charger R/T - X9 440 six pack, TKO600 5 speed, 3.73 Dana 60.
Sinnamon:  1969 Charger R/T - T5 440, 727, 3.23 8 3/4 high school sweetheart.

JimShine

I saw 2,3, and 4 in the theater. 3 and 4 were my faves, but 4 at the movie theater was the best. There was lots of great shots in that movie fit for the big screen.

Old Moparz

I thought the first one was the best, & I'd pick the third one with Clubber Lang, "Mr. T" was next. The rest seemed to get worse with each number.

(Nighthawks was good, Rutger Hauer is an excellent villian.)
