That's hilarious.

Never change, Florida man.

There is a pic of the car on another site.  It's a modern Challenger painted orange with a black #74 on the doors.

But whatever.  I guess that's close enough for MSM news.

The guy ran because he's a suspected arsonist.  He later switched to a white SUV and they caught him in that one.

This is the pic that comes up when I clicked on the link provided by the OP.

No Challenger here. Did these idiot news people post a random pic of a General Lee for click bait?  :smilielol:

That GL is a pic off the net.  Not from Florida.

No high flying Dukes jump across a stream? What a chicken.

Things must be slow in San Antonio, nobody in FL. covered this.

You have to love the sensationalism of reporting now days. No actual photos of the car...
Pereira fled the scene, then led deputies on a chase in a Dodge Charger painted to resemble the General Lee, according to reports.

There needs to be a news police that fact checks and fines fake news reports to main stream media...

Fake news?  Meh.  It's a matter of opinion.  Most people just aren't Charger guys.

---------------------------

They would probably say this thing is "painted to resemble" Disney's Herbie.

Same difference.  It's about 50 years too new, wrong color, no '53' numbers, shouldn't have the door stripes, etc.

2 days ago, returning from a food store run a modern bug like in the top pic yet striped up exactly like the bottom pic followed me home. Younger guy wanted to see my 70 up close and talk cars for a bit. (He has a 62 ragtop bug at home also.)

In one article, they show the car in the video......which is actually a modern Challenger and doesn't look anything like the General Lee. Yet the reporter says "Dodge Charger painted like the General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard show".  ::) :smilielol:

Florida man ran from deputies in a General Lee replica. Maybe the deputies were driving the General Lee replica and the Florida man was running from them.
