Electronic ignition conversion

I purchased a new engine wiring harness that converts to a stock style electronic ignition.  I plan on running that in my 68 Charger.  I am also planning on running a stock replacement alternator and voltage regulator.  Will I need to upgrade my alternator or voltage regulator since I will be running an electronic ignition now?

I believe you have to upgrade the alternator and regulator to the 70 style, also the ballast resistor is a 4 prong vs 2 prong in the conversions.

Not mandatory, but better.

About ballast, 4 prongs matches with 5 pins ECUs, 2 prongs with 4 pins ECUs, althought sharing same wiring. You can install 4 pins ECU keeping the older stock setup with 4 prongs ballast, but won't be correct the other way around.

Thanks for the replies.  I will order a 70 model 60 amp alternator, 70 model voltage regulator and the 4 pin ballast resistor just to be on the safe side.

I'm pretty sure the engine harness for the electronic ignition conversion built into it is set up for the 70 and later style alternator and regulator.
