I can respect a nice 3rd gen Charger....I prefer the 68-70 though.
The fenders on the 71-74 seem SO long in comparison.

What is not to love about them. ??

Never been a fan of the Super Sized 2 liter "bottled" 3rd gen Chargers.... I prefer the original sleek "Coke bottle" lines of the 2nd gen Chargers

The 3rd generation makes for a good looking race car.
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

....so that means they all look better than a 3rd Gen with race numbers (double negative)!!

Fixed it for you!!

Even better when a fat girl sits on the roof.   In USAC, you could get away with this kind of thing.

For many years I never really cared for third generation Chargers, but about 10 years ago I bought one, and have had about 15 of them since.  Some were Plymouths, but most were Dodges. I currently have five of them four 71 Chargers, thred are R/Ts one is an SE.,and one 73 Charger.

That works too, but I did mean what I said, ....Here said clearer: Any car looks better with racing tires and numbers on the door. Even a Prius.

As much as ive tried and tried to like third gen Chargers i just cant. They dont do it for me, i love 68 and 69s like no tomorrow, even 70 chargers with the front grill dont excite me as much as the 68 and 69s
Seeing as we are all talking here about third gen chargers, just thought id add my opinion in not that it matters but anyway
lol

71charger_fan

Not sure why anyone would think of them as super sized as they were lower and shorter than the '68s although they were a little wider.

Granted the 71-4's actual dimensions may have been smaller vs the 2nd gen Chargers, it's their actual visual appearance/styling that makes them look like 2 liter Coke bottles in comparison to the 2nd gen Charger's lines, it's the same as comparing the 71-2 RR/Sat/GTX to the 71-4 Charger, the 71-2 Plymouth's lines are so well balanced/executed, the Plymouth looks visually sleeker than the 71-4 Charger, although they share so much on the same platform....
