Power steering pump

Hello,

I have Federal power steering pump making noise when I push gas only on the straight road .
What is the problem

Check fluid level, loose belts and up down movement in the pulley.

The level of the fluid excellent and belt so taut .

So the next step would be an output pressure check.  You'd have to make up some sort of gauge tee adapter for the pressure hose.  A better option might be a simple fluid flush - extend the return into a bucket and run until empty, stop immediately after to avoid a long dry run of the pump.  New fluid is cheap.

What kind of noise? (Squeal, groan, clatter) Are you sure it's the P/S pump?
