this one the car is reversing and the reversing lights ARE coming on

Neither car have touched the light switch, Basically both gotten in there car and started and shifted into reverse.

Mine is doing the second link, reverse lights coming on in reverse regardless if i have touched the light switch and have any other lights on or not.

As soon as i get out of reverse they go OFF though.

and yes my rear taillights all light up when i hit the brakes aswell
lol.

Has the charger with the reverse lights coming on, clicked up once on the dial and turned on the parkers? i cant tell now TBH, super confused. i thought hitting the parkers also turned on the side markers aswell right? Because from the video i CANT seem them lit up, or do the parkers only turn on the 2 lights underneath the headlights and thats it? Dont they also turn on the side markers ?Then flicking up all the way opened up the headlights and turns on the taillights.

Damn. Dunno.

Super confused.

I can't see the video so I'm not sure what year vehicle you are referring to. But the reverse lights should light up without the park lights/head lights turned on. When the park lights are turned on the side markers should turn on(except for 69 chargers, they only have reflectors no bulbs). Also on a 68 charger when you turn on the headlights the front park lights turn off, it changed in 69 to stay on with headlights.  :Twocents:

I think your over thinking the light situation.

Shift to reverse they go on, shift to any other position they go off.

So why are you concerned?  Do you think you have a problem?  Your lights seem to be working correctly, the blue car seems to have a problem with its backup lights.

John_Kunkel

Backup lights are controlled by a switch that has nothing to do with the headlight switch. If the BU lights don't come on when the shifter is in Reverse, there's a fault; a fuse, the switch is bad or mismatched or disconnected.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
