I finally got the charcoal canister I needed. But when it came, all  the coal sifted out of the canister into the box. Isn't there supposed to be something to keep that from coming out like that? Anyone have a pic of a canister from the bottom side?

some of them had a filter on the bottom.it was made out of thin yellow insulation.if the charcol has sifted out of the cannister then it is no good.the cannister has "collapsed"inside.if you were to use it the particles would be sucked into the carb or motor.this holds true for a 4 port system.i just checked a 72 cannister i have and it has the filter and 4 ports,it was from a 318 car. the charcoal also has fallen apart in this one.
