The green bracket mounted on the side of the steering column support didn't seen to belong there. I inserted the flasher relay unit in and it seems like a great fit. Is this what really goes in the bracket? My other 74 Charger has the same green bracket mounted in the same place but the flasher is just hanging from the harness. Looks like it should go there. Just checking. Thanks.

you nailed

there is another one on a side of the ashtray housing which is the same for the turning signal flasher.

the round hole at a side is for the brake pedal wiring switch clip... visible on first instance of the pic a bit blurry, with white and pink wire pair of wires

So I have to ask now that I looked at my photo closer. Any significance to the green stripe on the relay I put in that bracket? Is it a color code thing?

hazzard HEAVY DUTY flasher... to hold the 6 bulbs load.

Not any flasher works safely or holds nicelly the 6 bulbs load thats the reason for the green band to be indentified

originally heavy duty flashers were squared ( reight on pic ), so the bracket is made to fit both kind

left on pic is time delay relay for the ign key courtesy light ( which you already have on harness )
