New e-brake cable confusion.

I decided my e-brake cable needed replacement as it was getting stretched out and the return spring was gone, causing me to use a zip-tie to keep the e-brake pedal from slumping down.  Anyway, I ordered the parts from Year One and disassembled everything.  But when the parts arrived, I became confused.

At each end of the cable, there is a little ball at the end.  Now, there's no way I can think of to connect the cable to the brake pedal lever inside the car, and the same for the end where the equalizer goes.  The original setup had the cable fed through a small hole in the pedal mechanism and there was a longer, cylindrical end on it.  On the rear of the car, the original cable had a bolt on it with a nut that could be used to adjust the tightness as needed.  Is there a way to replace the little ball on the end with the appropriate part?  Or did I just order the wrong part?

the front cable is the wrong part , it should have a 6" threaded end on it

Shakey

I have also purchased new parking brake cables and have put the rear ones on, but not the front as of yet.

Maybe Neil or someone else can clarify what is pictured below.

The first photo shows the front cable to the far left.  From what he says, the threaded part goes into the pedal assyembly and is clamped in place.

The second photo is of my parking brake pedal assembly after it had been removed from the car with the old cable still attached.

The third is a close up of the rear connection of the front cable.

Is this all correct?

Hopefully this will help you Dale.

Does one of your cables have this threaded end on it? is this what you need?

This is the setup I got from YO.

Thanks guys.  That's definitely the cable I need since it looks exactly like my old one.  The one I got was very different and had a plastic cover on it.  Unfortunately, I didn't take the time to look at the old one before ordering.

I got the right cable from Inline Tube, and I got it installed.  However, on the old cable, I had a plug that went into the driver's floor that the cable passed through.  That's not included with the new cable, but I don't know how I would get it off of the old one or on the new one.  As it is right now, there's a big hole in the driver's floor with the cable wobbling around in it.
