The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Did you get anything for letting them use your car?

Like free movie tickets or something?

I'm sure your car sitting in from of the theater boosted their sales.

General Ryan

Thanks all on the comments, it was a GREAT nite of fun, especially with the police (who I know the 2 helping).

I received 10 tickets for the movie to give to family and those who helped me with some things to get the thing off the ground and also the memorabilia the movie distributor sent the theatre to hang up (Posters, HUGE poster and a vynal banner)

We did a miniature "chase" from one end of town to the next during green lights (about 5 miles) for fun and attention (lights/siren blaring) and the kid who won the contest, well, since I had a cop car in front and behind escorting me to drop the winner off at dinner, I came into the parking lot sideways for all eating on the patio to see (cheers galore).

All the folks and the kid loved that including the cops, it was actually their idea since I couldn't legally get away with it any other time, so I took the opportunity.

As you can see in the pics, the car was roped off in an arms Length so nobody could touch it and they had a theatre employee dressed as Daisy (sort of) guarding the car all night and she loved the car, so she was good not to let any harm come to it.
The dudes dressed as Daisy were the local radio personalities who bet each other on the air the year of the General and each got it wrong and lost the bet so each had to dress as Daisy.

It seems now, the car and myself are more so a local celebrity more than before because those who didn't know what the car was or why it is popular, saw the movie and identify with it and saw what a Dodge Charger is capable of in terms of pure brash power and intimidation in comparison to the zing zing mobiles of today. The cops love the car, never a hassle only to look at it and ask questions like every other curious individual which is cool, but when they pull me over just to look at it, I wish they'd turn their lights off, I feel like a delinquent to onlookers to arrive at the scene too late and don't know whats really happening.

In summary, was a beautiful nite for it, a great turnout and a ton of fun, I thank all who helped me out and those that showed to make it a success and I look forward to a sequel event if possable.

BTW-guys, there was a ton of "scenery" to glance/gawk at, since a few felt like wearing the similar tight denim shorts, while others wore tight summer figure flattering outfits, I love my sunglasses as it hides my eyes!!

I bet that was a great time.  I bet the car chase was a great time too, wish i'd have seen that !

This ticket is only $69.00 ?  If I'd have known that I'd have been going FASTER !

General_01

That looks like it was alot of fun. Glad all went well with your experience. The car still looks great. :2thumbs:

General Ryan

I remember how I was as a kid and when I saw in person, a real live 2nd gen Charger, my heart going, the adrenaline flowing and excitement galore to be in the presence of the car I fell in love with on TV every week. So I say, anytime a kid or person acts and is as excited as I was, and can show the courtesy and patience with them to enjoy the moment, it'll etch into their brain and remember it for all time, and I'm glad I can do that.
Its sort of my pay backs and thank yous to all the Charger owners who showed the same with me.

Although, the kid kept asking where and how much he can get a General Lee for himself for when he turns 16 or instead a 69 Charger. He can't really grasp the concept of rarity and how much in price or how hard to find anymore, so I gave his mom the website/forum for the Confederate General Lee Fan Club to poke around and soak in the reality and ask questions to help him out.

All in all, like I said, that day was total Nirvana

Lostsheep

Man those are great pics, looks like a great time. I bet that kid hasn't stopped talking about it.

Im not sure if I asked you before or not, but what size are your wheels.

DarkAngel0816

I have an eight year old brother myself and I tell you...he loves my Charger.  :)  So it is cool that you did all of that esp for the youngster.  Car looks hot!  :)
