We have been hearing a lot about it, mostly known is Bitcoin. I know some people personally who have seen unimaginable gains recently, 1000%. So what is it? Any truth to it's legitimacy, or is it a pyramid scheme?

An article on it;

I asked this question on another forum too. I know there are some really smart people here, who I dont see over there.
1972 Charger Topper Special, 360ci, 46RH OD trans, 8 3/4 sure grip with 3.91 gear, 14.93@92 mph.
1973 Charger Rallye, 4 speed, muscle rat. Whatever engine right now?

There are people who have made money off it. Odds of doing so now that its at its peak are slim to none. I wouldn't say its a pyramid scheme per say, although it has working that way currently, and it isn't exactly like a commodity, like gold or platinum, but it also operates somewhat to that degree.

Unless you are already a savvy trader and/or follow currency markets generally, I wouldn't recommend getting into it as an investment. If you want some thrills and are willing to loose bucks, you may enjoy being in it.
