20,057 total production of XS29s for model year 1969 (Y05-US, Y07-CANADA, Y09-EXPORT) numerous sources

the "OPTION" numbers that are out there are based on percentages found in the "OPTION & ACCESSORY REPORTS" generated by Chrysler during August 1969

18,776 Charger R/Ts (XS29 shipped "domestically" before the report was created)

22.6% with A47 "Special Edition" package ~4,232 +/-9 (built in error based on keeping records to 0.1%)

details are unaccounted for on the remaining 1,281 R/Ts

All I could find on the internet is "Sold Car", and I am at a loss as to what that means ?  Were all Y14 R/T SE Cars built to Canada specs (Y07) anyways, yet pre-Sold or something ? 

I have also wondered just what the heck were the differences between a car built to Y05 "U.S. Specs" versus the Y07 "built to CANADA Specs" ?

Was not Canada specs just the rear defroster as standard equipment ?
Maybe other cold weather things ?

Heck, that(4243)  is  twice as many as they made of Super birds.... and 8X as many 69 Charger 500s.  Little over 1000 more RTSE than the AARs and T/As made.....  And one odd ref is 16% of just 1987 year GNs made.  Pretty rare.  I think I still like them...

Actually, 1987 Buick Grand National production and 1969 Dodge Charger R/T production are/were pretty close, around 20,000 each.
On top of that, another 4,000 turbo regals were built, plus Limited, and GNX models, and the WE4 edition. All told, about 27,000 turbo bucks in 1987 were produced. Still rare, but more than Charger. 

I used to think an R/T SE was a cool car, and what I had to have. But having had 4 Chargers now, and none being SE models, I can't see where it would have mattered. The leather *could* have been nice for the front seats, but aside from that, not much else matters. Not to me.

Y07 - built for Canada specs - the most obvious difference would be a kilometer speedo vs. a mph speedo. There may be a few other minor changes - but I do not know what they are.

Y14 - sold car - this just means that someone actually ordered up this particular Charger at their local dealership with the colors and options they wanted on their car.

Canada was not metric back when these cars were new so it was not a speedo change

The Y07 threw me, because I had thought ALL Canadian Cars somehow had to be Y07 "built to CANADA specs" ? 

I know our R/T SE was sold new in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, yet it has the Y14 "Sold Car" on the B-Sheet, which would explain some rather uniquely combined options then explained, if someone was ordering to personal tastes rather than "package" recommendations.
I also can't find any differences whatsoever between ours and a U.S. model spec.

Canada was not metric back when these cars were new so it was not a speedo change

We (UK) are the last man standing in Europe when it comes not going metric. We use metric and imperial for many things......but speed and distance is resolutely in MILES! A guy over on the Jeep forum was surprised when I said this ....he thought we had been metric (KM) for years ! LOL!

Don't see that changing any time soon now we are (wrongly imo) leaving the EU.

ok yes indeed perhaps.... I was wagging....... in from a Charger guy that likes the GN thing too.  So I was trying to talk about RTSE productions to just the 87GN yr being a lot.  So GN vs RT pretty close you are right.  I had a white T with chrome package, actually pretty rare for about 5 yrs as true daily driver about 10yrs ago got rid of.  Not to derail topic it was fun local commuter and spooled up well in merging and passing   

Stay on target... (topic) I do like the SE thing on RTs but think I like mostly that they typically have more options and are more rare ......well sorta but not always.  Do like the wood grain dash mostly probably and many have disc brakes and AC which I dig too.  Leather seats are not that great quality in grand scheme being just the inserts so kinda cheesy like you are implying.  But most of all its a 69 Charger really with options!
