The story of our 1970 R/T

Hope all is well here in the Charger world.

About this time last year I was nearing completion of a black, gator grain roof 1970 R/T that several on here gave me advice on.  Looking through the old posts and photos, it seemed appropriate to write a short story about the overall experience of buying, working on, and selling the car.  Less of step by step, nuts and bolts account, and more of a story.

Great story that should be read by anyone that is considering restoring a muscle/classic car. I'm glad you were able to contact the original owners and share a memory with them again.  Any regrets selling that beautiful Charger?

Great story though. Just makes me even happier that I saved a few extra quid to buy a generally solid shell (a few patches done ..some quite big... and some surface rust ) rather than try and import repro metal. Overall I'm sure I saved quite a bit...both time and money. And she's "slightly" more original in my eyes.

We're driving a 1971 T/A with an LS motor now.  Not near as cool as the charger, but it was half the price.

Nice looking car. You write that you didn't make a "killing" but I didn't see you state that you lost money. Why not tell what the sale price was?
