Delay shift

Hello,

I have problem with the delay shift Automatic transmission 727  .for example if the transmission was on P than I moved to the D it take 3 to 5  Seconds for the moveing car  seam things from P to the R . Anyone know what's The reason for the delay

Check the fluid level. Idling in neutral, warmed up. Idle speed normal.

Could be a transmission filter that is dirty restricting fluid intake to the pump. Drop the pan , inspect and replace the filter.

Is there always a delay when shifting out of Park or only when it's been sitting a while? Could be normal converter drain back, try shifting to Neutral for a few seconds before selecting other gears.

That kit should work fine.
