Superbird side markers

Greetings, Can anyone confirm if the front fender side markers are to light up when front head lights are on. Never drive the car at night and his weekend when doing a warm up they did not light when headlight switch activated. Same with rear quarter side markers even though tail lights were lit. Before I look at next weekend thought I would ask as it may save me some time.

ps: front lower lamps work under nose just fine.
