Ok I'm looking for opinions on value 1968 charger matching numbers 383 and 4 speed the car is black int and dark green ext. What do you think the value would be after rebuild(everything gone threw, body and paint finished)? And do you think the green paint would hurt the value even though it's the original color?

Thanks for your opinions

383 4bbl or 2? and yeah i think the fact that its green may hurt it, unless you end up selling to a charger enthusiast the general public prefers orange or black, maybe even red.

I'll hazard a guesstimate.  ;)  Probably between $30 to 35K. Even if it was as good as new I don't see it ever being more than 40K. Although a rare car (qty 333 383 4-speed XP's made in 1968) and a big block 4-speed '68 Charger, it is not as desirable as an R/T. The color green is a non-issue to me. Are you looking to sell after refreshing it? Paint it as B77 said.

Personally I think the 68 4-bbls 4-speeds 383's are just fine....  :icon_smile_wink:

Not sure if it's a 4 barrel originally it is right now. Trying to decide what to do it was just offered to me. It would probably be a fix and sell. I really need another charger like a hole in the head.

No,  I ended up passing on it. He had a list of people he was offering it to. I told him to let me know if the got threw his list and needed help finding someone to buy it but he never got a hold of me. I heard around Christmas that he had sold it.

Do you have any other info on the car? Vin number, photos, history? Just for posterity and my most excellent records on this subset of Chargers.   :icon_smile_wink:
