Got my engine in the car and have connected the trans.  Now onto the header install.

Any words of wisdom out there on which side to install first, and from above or below?

Already pulled the driver's side valve cover to allow the engine to rotate further on the motor mount towards the brake master power booster, and pulled the fuel pump.

Passenger side header will not go in from above.  Do I need to jack the car up as well as move the engine towards the driver's side with an engine hoist to get the clearance and install from below?

They go in from the bottom. You'll want to jack the car up quite a bit. I also undid the steering center link. Valve covers can stay on. Good luck!

I just did my TTI headers.

We did them from the bottom, probably should have removed the center link but they squeaked by. Definitely remove the spark plugs. Worst case, grab a block of wood and remove the bolt for the engine mount and jack up the engine from the oil pan and tilt the engine to the other side a little. That will also help clearance. Just do 1 side at a time.

The only thing it really caught on was the center bar and the 1.1 T bars, but like I said, they went in. And then I had to make 1 DING  :'(

Got any pictures? Where did you have to make the ding? 1 7/8 or 2 inch?
I have a set on the way and should get them by the end of the month.

Thanks

I have 1 7/8 TTI headers to their 3" h-pipe exhaust on my 440 stroker with 1.10 t-bars and it fit no problem.  I had to install them from below and tilt the engine though, PITA.

I have 2 1/8 tti on mine with no dents or dings. Plenty of room. Unbolt both mounts to allow room to move motor, torsion bars out and centerlink dropped for room.
