I know what the exhaust hangers look like, you can buy them at a few places, but what about the brackets on the floor and frame rail? My 74 was a single exhaust 318, but will become a small block (340 or 360) dual exhaust car. It looks like the tip hangers mount to the frame rails, but what about the pipes near the axle? Any photos, measurements, etc would be appreciated.

Can't help with the measurements, but I believe they should look like this. The actual bracket typically is welded onto the right side of the floor pan and the left side bracket is just added and bolted to floor pans on cars slated to receive dual exhaust. The muffler/tailpipe hanger that attaches to the bracket in the picture differs from factory look, but they work fine in my experience. The tip/taillight hangers are also available, your frame rail should already have the provision for adding the u clip that the hanger would attach to.
