I recently purchased this 69 Charger RT that appears to have been some sort of race car from back in the day, was told it was raced when it was new and that Firestone Tires had some involvement in it, as a test car for dodge or firestone? Would love to learn more info about this car if anyone knows anything or has any old photos of it. The doors under the primer say Interstate Transmission, and also "hardy" with a 3162 las vegas blvd las vegas address . Anyone has any info would truly appreciate it, trying to figure out how to put pictures on here

Didnt want to touch anything on this car until I had some good solid info. Would love to have it restored back to original but not if there is significant history with the car.

I recently purchased this 69 Charger RT .....

car was at MATS this past March & was on eBay a month or so ago, did you purchase it from a guy named Terry in Las Vegas?

socalcharger

Soo anyone know the history or story behind the car?

cbrestorations

It was not raced, it was used as a Firestone tire test car at riverside speedway. Terry found it, Edgar bought it from Terry and now you have bought it from edgar. Now edgar is bugging me to sell him a car I don't want to lol

Does anyone have any photos of this car when it was on the track by any chance floating around? If it was driven at the riverside speedway its got several las vegas sponsors painted on the sides under the primer  :scratchchin: :scratchchin:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I believe that I read somewhere that the car has had 2 or 3 different owners in the past 4 months or so. Can't remember where I saw that.

All we know is what was told to us by the guy who Terry bought it from, and he was the one who owned it for the last 25 years
