I am planning on buying a Champion 4 core aluminum radiator for my 70 Charger RT with 4speed. Does anybody have a part number for one that will work for my car?

Do any of you have Champion radiators and will the factory shroud work with it? I have a 26 inch opening.

Any feed back as to if these radiators are any good?

I have the Champion in my 73, I believe it is more important for the outlets in the radiator to match up to the outlets in your engine. Find the radiator with the right bolt pattern and the radiator is on the same side as the engine outlet and so forth.

I have been known to be wrong, but when I asked, that is what I was told.

This radiator works great in my 69 rt. Like Randy73 says make sure that the outlets match your old radiator so your hoses will fit.

I am planning on buying the 4 core MC375. The outlet and inlet seem to match as the top hose is on passenger side and the bottom hose is located on driver side. My radiator core opening for my car is 26 inch.

Were you able to mount your factory fan shroud on your radiator?

I have a CC375B which is the same as the 4 core you are looking at but with three rows of .75" tube instead of 4 rows of .63" tubes. I bought a P2998326 shroud for it, it will bolt up but there is a gap between the radiator and the shroud, the mounting points are to far rearward on the radiator so the answer is - if you have that shroud - no, it wont, the gap makes it useless. However, it looks like it will fit with some mods and work well, just haven't got to it yet. But it will not fit the same as OE.

How big of a gap was it? Is there a lip on the shroud where it bolts mates to the radiator that you could put some foam to close the gap?

What car and engine is your set up on?

The gap is 1 inch, top and bottom with the sides of the shroud sitting on the mounting point of the radiator. Yes you could put a spacer in to take up gap but the shroud only has a flat surface of about 1/4 inch on the top and bottom where it faces the radiator - probably look a little ugly. What I intend to do is alter the shroud so that it fits under the mounting points of the radiator, that way it will sit flush all the way around. I imagine it will need some support at the top and bottom at the middle point to prevent the shroud warping. I will wait until I have the engine in the car so that I can check fan/shroud location first. Car is a 71 R/T.

Have a 4 core in 69 Charger with 528 hemi work good even with no shroud. Heats up around 210 it stop and go traffic but cools down immediately once you start moving. I tried stock plastic shroud but fan sits too far away from core of Rad and tips of blades are not in shroud. My enginedoesnt sit level so gap at bottom is 2" and top like 4". Im going with a Derelle shroud and 2 electric fans shortly
