Replacing the stock steering joint?

The steering joint in the 74 is toast, and I have seen the Mopar build kits and I am ok with that, but wondering if there are other more "solid" solutions out there like this:

I don't really want to cut the steering shaft.

The problem with that joint and many other aftermarket versions is there is no provision for movement fore and aft.  The bodies of these cars flex enough that it is required to have some movement there.  Even with the usual stiffening methods used, frame connectors etc.., there will always be some flex.

This thread is 73 related, where rag joint is diff from 74, but the coupler even attachs diff  is the same assembly

That makes total sense! Thanks much for pointing that out!  :2thumbs:

Thanks Nacho! I'll add that to the list. I have all new parts now except for this and the steering box.
