I am trying to save the original windshield on this car but its cloudy in the corners really bad. I have tried all kinds of cleaners. no luck..  :shruggy: any way to save it? can is mostly original and matching numbers so trying to save everything I can and drive it just like it sits. don't want to restore it. Just get it back on the road.

Windshield is two layers of glass and the cloudy part is in the plastic that is between the two layers
No fixing it either live with it or get a new windshield

My windshield was a little cloudy at the corners but not bad. However it also had a small crack on the lower middle.

I ended up having to replace the windshield but the rest of the glass on the Charger was saved and used.

Beautiful car, I'd be tempted to wash and drive it that way for a summer before restoring it.  :2thumbs:

its original sheet metal, grill, bumpers, glass, lights... i redid seats and carpet but everything else is original and very nice. Its matching numbers 440 but rebuilt. shows 83k miles. I put aluminum radiator in it to help with heat. It came from Washington he came to Arkansas in 78 and parked it. I am leaving it barn fresh and driving it! how cool will it be to pull up in a barn find.

Great looking car.
You had better remove that For Sale sign though. You'll get a lot of offers.

I thought the for sale sign would be entertainment. I have tons of old documents with the car too even a 1969 charger press release kit.

redid the seats and carpet. Added radio with FM and speaker but dash console is all original just redid wood grain. door panels and dash all original.

How it was found...

What a cool find, and in such great condition! I'd like to hear more of it's story too.

I'm diggin' the KISS sticker on the trunk lid. :icon_smile_cool:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I have three of 'em, two under the bench and one is a loaded "go bag" for road trips.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

story on the car is guy gets back from Vietnam 68ish and lived in Washington D.C. ordered the car from they think Anacostia chrystler Plymouth and he possibly worked at dealership for a little while. After this he took a GOV job. Took the car racing from all over. Family lived in Arkansas he moved down here and welded a trailer hitch on the car  :brickwall: I was told the car got parked in 78 when he moved to Arkansas for good. He has a brochure from Texas NHRA world finals from October 20-22 1972! The car had tons of cool decals all over it. One is drag racing decal from 77 on back bumper. I wish firewall was not painted but honestly I didn't want to touch the car. I just wanted it as original as possible. A guy I know bought it and I knew all the history and he called me up and said he just couldn't afford to finish it so I took it off his hands. I finished interior, trunk and engine. I added an aluminum radiator but tried to leave the way I found it. I got offered a deal on a paint job but I want to leave it original and dirty! it came with tons of stuff and the tool bag.! Has patches on it too!
Here it is clean!

Very nice, but you've got to get rid of that later model air cleaner and swap the valve covers from left to right.

Arkgl01

He did that I guess in the 70s.. I just cleaned it up and left it how I found it. The car is also an AC car but everything was removed. Why would anyone take AC off? I will put it back on at some point. I don't know if I want to leave it like that or go back stock.

If he was racing the car at all he might have pulled the AC stuff to get rid of some extra weight
